Good or bad?
Hi. I just found out that your roommate for Valencia, Brendan, will not be attending the program. You will stay in the same housing though. Just wanted to let you know that you are in a single now.

i should add that i'm staying in a house with a family, not in a dorm
ReplyDeleteI'd say good
ReplyDeletewhy good? maybe i'm projecting freshman year too much onto this, but i think it'd be nice to have someone to walk back to the house with when i'm wasted
ReplyDeleteWell, you'll just get the family to yourself. The whole immersion experience type thing. That's why I'd think yes.
ReplyDeleteThey'll probably like you more without comparison.
ReplyDeletelike you more, buy you more things... it's only good. you'll make friends to walk you home.
ReplyDeletetrust me. singles are great. walk around naked all the time. plus, you'll be less noisy coming home really really late drunk alone than with another person.
ReplyDeletemore hot young co-eds for you.
ReplyDeletetrust me, your host family will seem cool until at the end they start talking visas
ReplyDeleteI think it's a little of both. You won't have anyone to directly share your experience with in your house, and being the only "visitor" in the house will probably be a little isolating at first, but I think you will probably get closer to your host family. Also, while I'm not the solitary type (a single holds little appeal for me), a room to yourself in a house full of other people will be killer. No worries.
